Are you a Black-led nonprofit or fiscally sponsored community organization in need of funding?


You may be eligible to receive support from one of our funding partners this August as part of Black Philanthropy Month. We’ve teamed up with platforms, funders, and changemakers to distribute over $50,000 in direct support—and we want to make sure your organization is part of it.

STEP 1

Join the BackBlack Directory

Before you can access any funding or resources, your organization must be listed in the BackBlack Directory.

This confirms you're a Black-led, Black-benefiting nonprofit or fiscally sponsored org.

Apply for funding

Submit Your Campaign

Once your campaign is live, submit it using the BackBlack August 2025 Funding Application Form.

For the fourth year in a row, Givebutter is giving back—and giving Black. This August, they’re donating $10,000 to Black-led nonprofits that support and uplift Black communities.

  • Any Black-led nonprofit or fiscally sponsored organization in the US serving Black communities.

  • For most opportunities—yes. Each funding opportunity lists its requirements, so be sure to review and follow the correct application process.

  • You must join the BackBlack Directory to be elignle for any funding. It’s fast and free to sign up.

  • Most opportunities close by August 28, 2025, but we encourage early participation. Some campaigns include weekly funding rounds.
